These German-built railbuses were delivered in April 1958 and initially operated on the Maldon, Braintree, and Saffron Walden lines. The last working example was withdrawn from service in August 1967 and four survived into preservation. This model is an improvement on the previous version first produced by Heljan in 2012.

The Heljan Waggon & Maschinenbau (W&M) Diesel Railbus is a model of a German-built diesel railbus that was delivered to the Railway Technical Centre in April 1958. The railbus was initially used on the Maldon, Braintree, and Saffron Walden lines before being withdrawn from service in August 1967. Four examples of this railbus have survived into preservation.

The model is an updated version of a previous release by Heljan in 2012, featuring a range of improvements.
