Bachmann USA 0‑6‑0T Steam Locomotive, number 1968, is a limited‑edition OO gauge model released by Model Rail Magazine. Only 500 examples were produced, each bearing the United States Army Transportation Corps black livery and the running number 1968.
The model replicates a Southern Railway USA class locomotive built between 1942 and 1943, of which 382 were originally produced. It features an accurate laser‑scanned body and chassis, DCC readiness with a six‑pin socket, wire handrails and NEM couplings. The locomotive measures 119 mm in length, has a minimum curve radius of 371 mm and is supplied in pristine condition.
Details such as the cab, bunker and smokebox are available in a variety of variations, and the model is described as representing the pre‑grouping period. The manufacturer part number is MR‑101.
