The Accurascale IIA biomass hopper features several notable changes over the previously announced HYA/IIA coal hopper. As well as the distinctive roof doors and operating equipment, it also has the WH Davis revised design of end plates with just seven wider vertical stiffeners versus 15 on the Romanian-built examples, plus door master controls and four additional small boxes per side that contain the magnetic switches on the real thing for door/hopper operation.

Accurascale has produced a pack of two OO gauge IIA Biomass Bogie Hopper Wagon models, representing GBRf / VTG liveried vehicles. The wagons are finished in a pristine condition and are numbered 83 70 6955 315-9 and 83 70 6955 332-4. Each wagon measures 240mm in length and features NEM + Tension Lock couplings.
The models are built to a high level of detail, with etched metal factory-fitted detailing and extra fine plastic parts including air pipes, brake hand-wheel, and operating equipment. The TF25 bogies are highly detailed and feature brake blocks in line with the wheels. The wheel sets are blackened RP25.110 profile and have a 14.4mm back-to-back measurement.
The IIA Biomass Hopper Wagon has a distinctive roof design and features revised end plates with seven vertical stiffeners, as well as door master controls and additional boxes. This is a departure from the previously announced HYA/IIA coal hopper model.
The wagons are suitable for use on curves with a minimum radius of 2. They are constructed from materials weighing 160g and are designed to be highly detailed and authentic, with individual lettering, logos, and codes from real wagons.
The pack is part of the Initial Privatisation period, representing the early days of rail privatisation in the UK. The models are compatible with 16.5mm track and are designed to be highly detailed and accurate representations of the real-life wagons.
