The Rapido APT-E Train Pack is a model train set available in OO gauge, featuring a special edition InterCity 'Swallow' livery. This model is part of the Rapido APT-E collection and is a limited edition production run of 200 models. The train pack includes two power cars, each equipped with a five-pole, skew-wound motor, and two trailer cars with articulated swinging arm trailer bogies.

The model features a 3D scanned exterior for accurate body contours and a range of operational features, including an operating tilt mechanism and close coupling system. The train can operate smoothly on curves as tight as 438mm, making it suitable for both standard and more challenging layouts. The interior of the train is fully detailed, with illuminated test instrumentation and working headlamps, tail lamps and interior lighting.

The model can be run using conventional DC or fitted with an ESU DCC sound decoder for a more authentic sound experience. The sound recorded for the DCC sound version is accurate and has been taken from archival footage.
