The Oxford Rail model of the LNER N7 0-6-2 No 8011 is a highly detailed representation of a locomotive from the Great Eastern Railway's Class K85, later reclassified as the LNER's Class N7. The original design was created by Alfred John Hill in 1915, with Nigel Gresley further developing the design after the 1923 Grouping.
Built between 1915 and 1928, a total of 134 locomotives of this class were produced, with the LNER operating a large number of them. The N7s were designed to handle the busy commuter traffic out of London Liverpool Street station, and they saw widespread use across the LNER network.
This particular model is finished in a pristine black livery and is accurately detailed to represent No 8011 during its time with the LNER. The model is DCC sound fitted, featuring an ESU Loksound decoder and speaker, and is suitable for use on 00 gauge railways. The minimum curve radius required for operation is 438mm, or a second radius.
