Heljan Ruston 165DE PWM diesel locomotive – 97 652 – BR Yellow is a limited‑edition model released exclusively for Model Rail Magazine. It carries the manufacturer part number MR‑405B and reproduces the British Rail sectorisation era in the bright yellow livery used by Ruston & Hornsby.
The model is built to OO gauge standards, with a 0‑6‑0DE wheel arrangement and power picked up by all wheels. It negotiates a minimum curve of Radius 1 and is fitted with an NEM / tension‑lock coupling. The locomotive is DCC ready, featuring a Next 18‑pin socket for digital control. The prototype machines were built by Ruston & Hornsby in 1953 and 1959.
These Heljan units were produced solely for Model Rail and are supplied as a collector’s item through Model Rail offers.
