The Heljan Class 128 parcels DMU (model number 8991) is a 2‑rail OO scale replica of the British Railways diesel multiple‑unit built by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1959–1960. It represents a unit built for the period when the late crest BR green livery was in use; only ten of the original units were produced, each carrying the running number M55989.
The model is finished in pristine condition with a BR green body and small yellow panels, and it bears the late crest branding. It is DCC ready, fitted with a 21‑pin socket, and can be powered via all wheels. The unit uses NEM couplings, a minimum 2nd‑radius curve of 438 mm, and is capable of a maximum speed of 70 mph.
Technical specifications include a gauge of OO, power pickup from all wheels, and a diesel multiple‑unit motive power source. The model accurately depicts the British Rail Class 128 as operated by British Railways during the late‑crest era.
