Dapol MR‑018 is a limited‑edition OO gauge model of LNER Class Y3 Sentinel steam locomotive No 8172, produced exclusively for Model Rail Magazine. The locomotive is presented in pre‑war LNER black livery with Gill Sans lettering and numbers, and represents the period of the Big Four railways (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).

The model features a laser‑scanned body and chassis, a five‑pole super‑creep motor with flywheel driving both axles, a friction‑free pick‑up arrangement and a heavy tungsten chassis for reliable performance and strong haulage capability. It is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket, includes etched metal grilles, wire handrails, separate detail parts, close‑tolerance variations and NEM couplings.
