* Class names often change over the lifespan of a locomotive, so this is not necessarily the class name used by the operator in the period modelled.

Dapol Sentinel Steam Locomotive number 47182 is a limited edition model released in collaboration with Model Rail Magazine. The locomotive is presented in a pristine black livery, carries the running number 47182 and measures 76 mm in length. It is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket and can negotiate a minimum radius curve of 371 mm (1st Radius). Power is collected via all wheels and it is fitted with NEM / tension‑lock couplings.
The model represents a Sentinel 0‑4‑0 steam locomotive built between 1925 and 1927 by Sentinel Waggon Works, belonging to the London & North Eastern Railway Y1 class and later operated by British Railways. Only 24 examples of the original locomotive were produced. The wheel arrangement is 0‑4‑0 and the model carries the manufacturer part number MR‑015, depicting the British Railways early crest period.
