Prototype Era
Era 3 (1923 to 1947) The Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR)
The Dapol water tower brings a little fun back into the hobby. Dapol have provided a realistic series of sounds and a selection of voiceover comments, several of which involve the driver berating his fireman for mucking it all up.
The highly detailed exterior of the model will not look out of place on any discerning modellers layout, with a non-motorised version available for the traditional modeller. The sound effects and animation however bring a little audible and visual stimulation to a locomotive servicing area that will entertain adults and children alike. The sound effects can be turned off for those times when you just want to relax and run some trains around your layout in peace and quiet.

GWR Water Tower (Flat Top) Grey - Motorised with sounds
The Dapol GWR Water Tower is a model of a water tower used by the Great Western Railway, featuring a conical top and a distinctive chocolate and cream livery. This static version of the model is designed for OO gauge railways and is highly detailed with features such as etched parts, a water valve, positioning chains, a drain grill, and a tether post.
The model is designed to represent the period of the Big Four railway companies, which existed from 1923 to 1948. The water tower's dimensions are 37mm in width, allowing for a realistic representation on OO gauge model railways.
The model features a flexible delivery pipe that can be trimmed to suit the model builder's preference, adding to the level of detail and realism. The water tower is designed to be a static model, with no moving parts, although a motorised version is also available which features sounds.
