The model is designed to represent the Big Four era, during which the Great Western Railway (GWR), London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS), London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Southern Railway (SR) operated. The model is DCC sound fitted, allowing for a more realistic and immersive experience.

The model features a range of authentic details, including inside steam pipes, an extra rivet strip on the tanks, a scalloped filler lid stand and a short safety valve cover. Other features include straight rain strips, cab side shutters, a rear lamp iron fender and a cast iron tapered chimney.
