Hornby LNER Thompson Class A2/3 model replica of locomotive 514 “Chamossaire”, presented in a painted Apple/Doncaster Green livery with silver lining. The OO gauge model measures 295 mm in length, has a 4‑6‑2 wheel arrangement and a five‑pole skew‑wound motor; power is collected from all wheels and it includes a DCC‑ready 8‑pin socket. The model runs on a minimum radius curve of 438 mm (2nd radius) and uses NEM/tension‑lock couplings.

The locomotive is represented in the British “Big Four” era, specifically the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) period of 1946. It carries the running number 514 and the name Chamossaire, and it is supplied with the Hornby part number R3833. The model’s colour scheme reflects the original Apple/Doncaster Green with lined (silver) detailing.

Historically, the real locomotive 514 Chamossaire entered traffic on 28 September 1946, was allocated to Kings Cross, and after two years was transferred to Peterborough’s New England shed on 19 December 1948. It was renumbered 60514 under British Railways on 23 March 1948 and later received a Diagram 118 boiler at Doncaster Works on 16 January 1961, returning to service a month later.
