This Class 67 No. 67015 model is finished in the vibrant DB Schenker red livery, reflecting its current use on premium services with Transport for Wales.

Fitted with a 21-pin decoder socket, it is DCC ready for easy digital conversion. Sprung metal buffers and NEM couplings provide enhanced realism. With its powerful modern profile and push-pull capability, 67015 makes an ideal addition to any contemporary diesel or mixed-traffic collection.

History

Thirty of these locomotives were built for EWS by Alstom in Spain in 1999/2000 as replacements for Class 47s. They were for use mainly on Royal Mail trains, but after mail contracts were lost in 2003/4, they have been used on passenger trains. Transferred to DB Cargo by 2015, 67015 spent a period on lease to Wrexham & Shropshire trains and was named ‘David J. Lloyd’. 

It is now one of a dozen leased to Transport for Wales for its premium services, currently running in DB Schenker red, and used in push-pull mode with Mk4 coaches and a DVT (Driving Van Trailer).

Hornby DB Schenker Class 67 – 67015 is a 259 mm long, Bo‑Bo diesel locomotive model in the DB Schenker red livery. It is DCC ready with a 21‑pin decoder socket and features sprung metal buffers, NEM couplings with tension lock and a minimum radius curve of the second radius (438 mm). The model is supplied with the Hornby part number R30425 and represents the current era.

The locomotive is depicted in the livery of DB Schenker and is intended to represent its use on premium services for Transport for Wales. It can operate in push‑pull mode with Mk 4 coaches and a Driving Van Trailer, making it suitable for contemporary diesel or mixed‑traffic collections.

The real Class 67 fleet of thirty units was built by Alstom in Spain during 1999/2000 as replacements for Class 47 locomotives, initially serving Royal Mail trains.
