Heljan Class 76 EM1 Woodhead electric locomotive, model number E26049, is a limited‑edition OO‑scale representation of the British Rail Class 76. It is finished in British Rail blue livery, with a pristine condition finish and the original running number E26049 displayed. The model is DCC ready, featuring a 21‑pin socket, NEM/Tension‑lock couplings and a minimum curve radius of 2 inches.
The locomotive is powered electrically, with a maximum speed of 65 mph in model operation. It depicts a Bo‑Bo wheel arrangement and represents the period of British Rail blue livery prior to the TOPS era. The prototype was built between 1941 and 1953, with 58 units produced, designed by Nigel Gresley and constructed at LNER Doncaster Works (prototype) and later at BR Gorton Works. The Heljan part number for this model is 7602.
