The kit is DCC ready, fitted with a 21‑pin socket, and is produced to OO gauge scale. It represents the Great Western Railway 4700 class, designed by George Churchward and originally built at Swindon Works in 1919. Only nine of the real locomotives were constructed.
The model measures 271 mm in length, features NEM couplings and a minimum curve radius of the second radius (438 mm). It is finished in a pristine condition, carries the running number 4706, and carries the manufacturer part number 4783. The wheel arrangement is 2‑8‑0 and the locomotive is powered by steam. The period represented is the British Railways early crest era.
