Prototype Era
Era 6 (1967 to 1972) British Rail Blue (Pre-TOPS)
Regarded as the most successful of the Western Region diesel-hydraulic types, these versatile and capable Type 3s worked all kinds of trains from named expresses to local goods and ran across much of southern England, the West Midlands and Wales until the mid-1970s.
This new batch of upgraded models will feature a 21-pin DCC interface and improved LED lighting functions.
* Class names often change over the lifespan of a locomotive, so this is not necessarily the class name used by the operator in the period modelled.

The Heljan Class 35 'Hymek' Blue FYE D7058 Diesel Locomotive is a model of a British Rail diesel locomotive.
The model is 210mm in length and is decorated in BR blue livery. It is DCC ready, with a 21-pin socket for connection to a digital command control system. The model features a minimum radius curve of 2, and power pickup is available from all wheels.
The Class 35 'Hymek' was a successful diesel-hydraulic type built by Beyer Peacock, with 101 examples produced between 1961 and 1975. These locomotives worked a variety of trains, including expresses, goods and local services, across southern England, the West Midlands and Wales.
Key features of this model include a 21-pin DCC interface, working lights, NEM couplings and sprung buffers. The model is also sound ready. Further details include exterior and interior cab details.
