Key features include NEM couplings, sprung buffers, and working LED lights. The model is designed for use on radius 2 curves and can be powered from any wheel.

The Class 35 'Hymek' was a successful diesel-hydraulic locomotive built by Beyer Peacock between 1961 and 1964, with a total of 101 units produced. They were used for mixed traffic duties across the Western and Southern regions of British Rail, including named expresses and local goods trains. The locomotives remained in service until the mid-1970s. This model represents the Class 35 in its pre-TOPS livery.
