EFE Rail produce a 1:76 (OO) scale model of the London & North Eastern Railway J94 “Austerity” saddle‑tank locomotive, running number 195, in the Longmoor Military Railway lined blue livery. The model represents a steam shunter built in 1943, one of 75 produced, originally used on the Longmoor Military Railway for shunting duties.
Key specifications are a length of 130 mm over couplings, a 0‑6‑0ST wheel arrangement, and a pristine blue paint finish with period‑accurate lining. The model incorporates a Corless motor, sprung buffers and a Next18 DCC decoder socket located inside the smokebox, accessible via a magnetic smokebox door. It is supplied with the manufacturer part number E85005 and is recommended for use with Decoder 36‑567A.
The product was announced in the autumn 2020 British Railway announcements and is supplied as a DCC‑ready kit, complete with an accessory pack. It depicts the locomotive as it appeared in the British Rail blue era prior to TOPS.
