IOA Ballast Wagon Network Rail Yellow 3170 5992 110-4
Dapol has released a model of an IOA Ballast Wagon in Network Rail's distinctive yellow livery. This wagon type was designed to carry ballast and spoil and was first introduced in 2009. The IOA wagons were built by Greenbrier Europe in Poland and were designed to carry a maximum load of 102 tonnes.
The model is built to a scale of 1:87 and features a finely moulded body with many separately added details. The livery is accurately applied, with fine printing of the Network Rail markings. The wheels have a profiled design, and the model is fitted with NEM pockets as standard.
The details of the model include a running number of 3170 5992 025-4, and it is designed to operate on curves with a minimum radius of 2. The dimensions of the model are 182mm in length, 33mm in width, and 43mm in height. The model is designed to represent the rebuilding of the railways during the early 2000s.
