The JNA ballast wagon was designed to carry ballast and spoil from various national infrastructure projects in the UK. 555 were built by Trinity in Romania and delivered to Network Rail in 2004.
They often operate in sets of five and carry the yellow engineer’s livery of Network Rail. They have been designated the name ‘Falcon’.

The Dapol JNA Falcon Network Rail NLU29112 is a model of a ballast wagon built by Trinity in Romania between 2003 and 2004. The 555 wagons were delivered to Network Rail and are used to carry ballast and spoil from various national infrastructure projects in the UK.
The model measures 222mm in length, 33mm in width, and 31mm in height. It features a bogie wheel arrangement and has a minimum radius curve of Radius 2. The model is designed to represent the rebuilding of the railways in the UK.
The model is fitted with NEM pockets, allowing for easy conversion to knuckle couplings or other types of couplings. It also features finely moulded chassis and body, free rolling bearings for smooth operation, and accurately applied livery and decorations.
