We are excited to present the new Bachmann Branchline model of the BR 12 Ton ‘Vanwide’ Ventilated Van, finished in Late BR Bauxite livery with ‘VANWIDE’ lettering. Not previously available in OO scale, this Branchline models depicts the ‘Vanwide’ ventilated vans which were built to provide a wider door opening that the standard BR vans of the time which had hinged doors – the wider opening allowing pallets to be loaded and unloaded. With a similar specification to the new Branchline VEA, the Vanwide is made from all-new tooling and raises the bar in terms of detail and fidelity when it comes to OO scale vans. The highly detailed body includes separate wire handrails, separate lamp irons & end boards, and two variations of door runner (smooth or ribbed), whilst the underframe is a work of art with separate components fitted to represent the air brake gear, turned metal buffers and optional brake hangers and ties.

The Bachmann Branchline model of the BR 12T 'Vanwide' Ventilated Van is a new addition to the OO scale range. This model is finished in late BR Bauxite livery and features the distinctive 'VANWIDE' lettering. The 'Vanwide' vans were built to provide a wider door opening than standard BR vans, allowing for the loading and unloading of pallets. The model is made from all-new tooling and includes a high level of detail, with separate wire handrails, separate lamp irons and end boards, and two variations of door runner.

The underframe is also highly detailed, with separate components representing the air brake gear, turned metal buffers, and optional brake hangers and ties. The model is Era 6 and features a pristine finish, with a running number of B783446. It also includes NEM coupling pockets and a length of 87mm. The model is part of the Branchline range and is available in Bauxite livery.
