MHA Ballast Wagon, Three Pack, EWS - Era 9
Accurascale has released a set of three OO gauge model mineral wagons in the livery of the English, Welsh and Scottish Railway (EWS). The wagons are of the MHA type, a design built by several manufacturers between 1997 and 2007. The models are highly detailed and feature a die-cast chassis, RP25-110 profile wheels and sprung metal buffers.
Each wagon is finished in pristine condition and features a maroon livery with accurate details such as rivets, framing, strapping and door 'horns'. The models also include separate brake blocks, air pipes, lamp irons and other fine details. Etched metal components are used for the brake lever, chassis plates and other features.
The wagons are designed to be easily converted to EM and P4 gauge track, and are supplied with removable NEM coupler mounts and tension-lock couplers. The models are suitable for use on curves with a minimum radius of 438mm, and weigh at least 40g each.
This set of models is intended to represent the early days of the EWS, during the 1990s to 2000s period. The wagons can be identified by their running numbers, 394515, 394644 and 394800.
