Accurascale has released a pack of three British Railways Coil A/SFW Steel Wagon TOPS Bauxite models, featuring a livery to match the real-life wagons that operated during the British Rail Blue era.
Each wagon in the pack is numbered and features a unique identity, with the numbers B949166, B949174, and B949133. The models are designed to represent Diagram 1/412, Lot 3450, and are built to a high standard with oleo buffers, roller-bearing axle boxes, and metal wheels on metal axles.
The Coil A/SFW Steel Wagon was introduced in 1962 and remained in service until 1992, often running in block rakes with other steel wagons and vehicles. This pack is a representation of the real-life wagons that were used during this period and is designed to be used with other Accurascale models.
The models feature a range of detailed features, including NEM standard coupler pockets, narrow tension lock couplers, and RP25.110 darkened profile sets. The wheels are made of metal and have a 12.6mm diameter, while the axles are also metal. The models also have extra fine factory-fitted detail plastic parts and sprung buffers for added realism.
