Model Railway Quest is an exciting YouTube channel for everyone who is passionate about model railways. Created and presented by Dawn Quest - a model railway enthusiast, TV producer and journalist, it features model railway shows, interviews with leading figures in the industry, layout and scenery tutorials and much more. She is helped by Grumpy Camera Man - though "helped" might be too strong a word.
Dawn's exhibition layout - Brief Encounter Monochrome - which has been created entirely in shades of grey (more than 32 at last count) made its debut on the exhibition circuit in 2023 and has been exhibited across the UK and at shows in mainland Europe. She is currently working on her second exhibition layout based on the Ealing comedy The Ladykillers. Dawn also organises a number of model railway shows.
She is an advocate for women in the model railway hobby and runs the Women Railway Modellers Facebook group. She is a member of the Double O Gauge Association and the NMRA.
