Have a go - join the Model Railway Quest Back to Basics Modelling Challenge.
Not a competition.
Not about perfection - or even realism!
Just a simple challenge to scratch build something small and fun, and enjoy the process of modelling - which we all know is great for our mental health.
RULES:
Scale:
Whatever you fancy but why not build something to put on your own layout or diorama.
Materials:
Modelling bits and bobs you have at hand: i.e. cardboard, matchsticks, coffee stirrers, wire, dried rice, beans etc.
❌ NO:
Shop-bought finished pieces (i.e. trees, hedges, walls, whole buildings!), and
❌ NO:
3-D printed models or components.
Remember, this is building from scratch.
Deadline: Midnight, Tuesday 24th March
