Manufacturer description

OO gauge/4mm scale model of the VTG Ecofret FWA twin and triple container sets in use with DB Cargo, Freightliner and GBRf. VTG developed the new and innovative FWA “Ecofret” in twin and triple format as wagons which are shorter than traditional container flats, meaning that in a market dominated by 40’ containers they can carry a greater load per train length.

The Ecofrets were introduced from 2011 and can be seen in DB red (triple set), VTG green used by Freightliner (twin sets), GBRf blue and VTG dark blue liveries (triple sets). We are offering 4 number variations of the VTG green twin sets and the GBRf blue triple sets so that modellers can assemble realistic rakes. In addition we are offering one of the two DB red triple sets (we will offer the second set if there is sufficient demand).

The models will feature a solid metal spine for weight with moulded deck and spigot details.

The twin car sets are 375mm and the triple sets are 550mm (both measurements over buffers).

Revolution Trains IPA Car Carriers STVA Grey Twin set – Flat with Stakes is a OO gauge (4 mm scale) model of VTG’s Ecofret FWA twin and triple container wagons currently used by DB Cargo, Freightliner and GBRf.

The model is supplied under manufacturer part number OO‑IPA‑121A and represents the present era. VTG introduced the Ecofret wagons in 2011; they are shorter than conventional container flats, allowing a higher payload per train length in a market dominated by 40‑foot containers.

Three liveries are available: DB red (triple set), VTG green (Freightliner twin sets) and GBRf blue (triple sets), with a further VTG dark‑blue triple‑set liveried option. Four colour‑variation options are offered for the VTG green twin sets and the GBRf blue triple sets, plus one of two DB red triple sets (the second will be produced if demand warrants).

Each vehicle incorporates a solid metal spine for added weight, together with moulded deck and spigot details. The twin car sets measure 375 mm over buffers, while the triple sets measure 550 mm over buffers.
