The Rapido Liverpool & Manchester Railway 'Lion' model is a OO gauge representation of a locomotive from the 19th century. It is designed to depict a locomotive from the Liverpool & Manchester Railway and is part of the Rapido collection of models representing this railway.
The model is in a pristine condition and features a 0-4-2 wheel arrangement. It is DCC ready and has a next18 decoder socket for easy digital control. The model is constructed from die-cast metal and injection moulded plastic.
The locomotive is finished in the livery of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway and features a number of separately fitted details, including an open tender spring box, a firebox mounted pressure gauge and a fireman's toolbox. The model also features Ruston green with black frames as seen on restored locomotives from the 1930s.
The model has NEM coupler pockets for easy coupling and uncoupling. The mechanism is of high quality and the model is suitable for model railways depicting the pre-grouping era.
