The Rapido Metropolitan Railway No.1 model is a detailed representation of a Metropolitan Railway 'E' Class locomotive in the livery it wore between 1999 and 2009. This OO gauge model is part of the Rapido Met 1 collection.

The model is constructed from die-cast metal and injection moulded plastic, with a high quality motor and mechanism. It is equipped with a Next18 decoder socket, allowing for ease of DCC sound fitting. The level of detail is high, with many separately fitted parts included.

The model features era-specific air brake equipment within the cab, and includes optional user-fitted parts such as tripcocks, airbrake hoses and vacuum hoses. The model also features NEM coupler pockets and sprung buffers for added realism.
