The Land Rover, launched in 1948, was an instant hit and continues to be the workhorse for anyone involved in heavy duty, rural or off-road environment. Its use extended to public bodies as well.This model as used by the RAF from the late 1940s to the 1970s, is complete with RAF military number plate and the RAF roundel on the offside front wing. It looks particularly smart painted in RAF blue-grey with the striking contrast of chrome grille, bumpers, window surrounds and door hinges. The canvas back is in a realistic drab olive green.

Oxford Diecast RAF Land Rover Series I 80 Canvas – 1:76 scale model. The model is finished in a pristine condition and is supplied under the manufacturer part number 76LAN180004. It represents the period of British Railways early crest, depicting a vehicle used by the Royal Air Force from the late 1940s to the 1970s.
The Land Rover is painted in RAF blue‑grey, with chrome‑finished grille, bumpers, window surrounds and door hinges. It carries an RAF military number plate and the RAF roundel on the offside front wing. The rear of the model features a canvas cover in drab olive green, matching the original military finish. The original Land Rover was launched in 1948 and has been employed in heavy‑duty, rural and off‑road roles, as well as by public bodies.
