KR Models Bulleid Class 4DD Double‑Decker 4‑car EMU (model numbers 4001/4901) is a sound‑fitted, DCC‑ready model in British Railways early crest livery. The kit is supplied as a four‑car set with two powered cars, internal lighting, close coupling and steel buffers. It is available in full BR green, green with small yellow ends and the later BR blue colour scheme, each with DCC, DCC‑fitted or DCC Sound (LokSound V5.0) options.

The prototype units were designed by O.V.S Bulleid in response to a 1948 British Railways request to alleviate suburban overcrowding around London. Two double‑deck units entered service in 1949 as numbers 4001 and 4002 and operated for 22 years until withdrawal on 1 October 1971. In 1970 the two units were repainted in BR blue and renumbered 4901 and 4902.

The model replicates the original period equipment, featuring interior lighting and the external details of the early crest era. Manufacturer part number KRM‑4DD‑OO‑S‑1‑G identifies the four‑car green version with sound fitted.
