It was sold to Crossley Scrap Merchants in Shipley in 1975 and operated there until 1982. After being preserved, it was restored and moved to the Derwent Valley Light Railway at Murton Park on 18 August 1990, where it remains in service.
The Hornby model represents the British Rail sectorisation period and is aimed at collectors of railway memorabilia. It is supplied with a painted finish, green livery and the manufacturer part number R3852. The product is suitable as a gift for railway enthusiasts.
