Hornby Stephenson's Rocket Train Pack is a centenary‑year limited edition released in 1963 to commemorate the historic Liverpool and Manchester Railway locomotive. The pack includes a 88 mm long, pristine‑finished model of the Rocket in a yellow livery, fitted with a 5‑pole skew‑wound motor and a six‑pin DCC‑ready socket. Power is collected via the driving and trailing wheels, and the locomotive can negotiate a minimum curve radius of 371 mm (approximately 1st Radius).
A complementary 75 mm steam‑powered coach called “Experience” is also supplied, representing the original 1829–1830 Stephenson’s Rocket with a 0‑2‑2 wheel arrangement. The coach is presented in a pristine finish, bears the Liverpool and Manchester Railway livery and is classified as first‑class (F). Both items carry the manufacturer part number R3809 and are designed to depict the pioneering period of early railway locomotion.
