Manufacturer description
Class 50 Diesel Locomotive number 50 010 named Monarch in BR Large Logo livery with blue roof.

Limited edition of 350 pieces exclusive to Kernow Model Rail Centre.

Includes numbered certificate of authenticity and etched nameplates

By mid 1983 the loco's paintwork was in a poor state so it was sent to Swansea Landore for a repaint.  The Welsh depot lacked the BR Grey paint for the roof so opted to outshop Monarch in August with a blue roof instead.  This was retained until Monarch was called to Doncaster Works for overhaul when it emerged in April 1985 with a grey roof.

The model represents the prototype built by English Electric at the Vulcan Foundry between 1967 and 1968, carrying the part number R3672. It depicts the locomotive during the British Rail Blue (TOPS) period.
