Hornby RailRoad GWR 2721 Class 0‑6‑0PT model, running number 2779, is presented in a pristine condition with a green livery. The model measures 120 mm in length and is not equipped with DCC capability.
It is fitted with a Type 7 motor and can negotiate a minimum radius curve of the first radius, 371 mm. Power is collected from all wheels and the locomotive is powered by a steam motive source.
The prototype locomotive was built between 1897 and 1901 at GWR Swindon Works to the design of William Dean. A total of 80 examples of the Great Western Railway 2721 class were produced for the GWR, featuring a 0‑6‑0PT wheel arrangement.
The Hornby model carries the manufacturer part number R3667 and represents the railway period known as the Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).
