Add the LNER Class 91 'Neville Hill' to your model railway collection. This OO gauge locomotive model is a detailled replica of an electric engine that went through various guises before receiving its LNER branding. With NEM tension lock couplings, this model is DCC ready - just add a 21 pin decoder (sold separately).
Thirty-one of these electric locomotives were built by BREL at Crewe Works between 1988 and 1991 for the newly electrified East Coast Main Line. Entering service with BR in December 1990 as 91027, this locomotive initially carried InterCity livery and was named ‘Great North Run’ in 1995. Modified in 2001 and renumbered 91127, it then became ‘Edinburgh Castle' until 2009, when East Coast took over the franchise.
In 2018, the new operator became LNER and 91127 was allocated to Leeds Neville Hill depot in 2021, where it received retro InterCity livery with LNER branding and was named ‘Neville Hill’.

* Class names often change over the lifespan of a locomotive, so this is not necessarily the class name used by the operator in the period modelled.

Hornby LNER Class 91 91127 ‘Neville Hill’ is an OO‑gauge model reproduced in meticulous detail. The locomotive features NEM tension‑lock couplings and is DCC ready, requiring a separate 21‑pin decoder (part number R30493). The model represents the current era of the class.
Thirty‑one Class 91 electric locomotives were built by BREL at Crewe Works between 1988 and 1991 for the newly electrified East Coast Main Line. The prototype entered service in December 1990 as 91027, carried the InterCity livery and was named ‘Great North Run’ in 1995. It was modified and renumbered 91127 in 2001, becoming ‘Edinburgh Castle’ until 2009 when the East Coast franchise took over. In 2018 the franchise changed to LNER and, in 2021, the locomotive was allocated to Leeds Neville Hill depot, receiving a retro InterCity livery with LNER branding and the name ‘Neville Hill’.
