Announced as part of our Spring 2021 British Railway Announcements, we are delighted to bring you our new LMS 57ft Porthole Second Corridor Coach in BR Blue & Grey livery.

Designed by the LMS, British Railways continued construction of the ‘Portholes’ after Nationalisation and several examples remained in service long enough to receive BR Blue & Grey livery which is offered on the Branchline model for the first time alongside a further Second Corridor (39-452) and a Brake Second Corridor vehicle (39-462).

Bachmann Branchline OO‑scale model of an LMS 57ft “Porthole” Second Corridor coach in British Rail blue and grey livery, announced in the Spring 2021 British Railway Announcements. The model is finished in pristine condition, bears the running number M13135M and measures 253 mm over the couplings. It is supplied with NEM coupling pockets, a close‑coupling mechanism and metal‑bearing bogies with integrated electrical pickups. The coach type represents a London, Midland & Scottish Railway 57ft carriage operated by British Rail, with the period depicted as the pre‑TOPS British Rail blue era.

The model includes an accessory pack and features a detailed, decorated interior. It is catalogued under manufacturer part number 39‑452A and forms part of Era 6.
