Bachmann has released a new model of a London, Midland & Scottish Railway 57ft 'Porthole' Second Corridor coach in British Rail Blue & Grey livery, as part of their Branchline range. This model is one of several new releases announced for Spring 2021.

The coach is designed to represent a vehicle that was in service long after the nationalisation of the railways, and features a pristine finish in the distinctive Blue & Grey livery of the British Rail era. It is offered alongside two other 'Porthole' coaches, a Second Corridor and a Brake Second Corridor.

The model is designed for OO scale and is era 6 compliant. It features a number of detailed and accurate components, including NEM couplings, a close coupling mechanism, and bogies with metal bearings and integrated electrical pickups. The interior of the coach is also detailed and decorated. The model measures 253mm in length over the couplings.
