The Bachmann model represents a Great Western Railway 43xx class 2-6-0 locomotive, running number 4358, as it appeared under British Railways after nationalisation. It is produced in OO gauge (1:76) with a split-chassis construction and tension-lock coupling. The prototype was built at Swindon Works between 1911 and 1932, used for mixed-traffic duties and withdrawn in 1964.
The model is supplied in a ready-to-run condition and is powered by a steam motor. It does not incorporate a digital command control decoder and therefore cannot be used with DCC systems.
