The Bachmann Class 2MT Ivatt 2-6-2T (product number 41272) is an OO gauge model of a British Railways steam locomotive. It reproduces an LMS and BR Crewe Works built Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T, running number 41272, constructed between 1946 and 1952 and in service until 1967. The model is scaled at 1:76, measures 172 mm in length and features a lightweight chassis, NEM pocket couplings with tension-lock, and no lighting or sound fittings.
The model presents a precise representation of the mixed-traffic duties carried out by the class, with accurate wheel arrangement, tractive effort specifications and period details. It is supplied as a ready-to-run locomotive without DCC capability.
