This OO gauge model represents the Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T steam locomotive, originally designed for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway and subsequently operated by British Railways. The locomotive features a 2-6-2T wheel configuration and was utilised for mixed traffic duties until the class was withdrawn from service in 1967.

The model is constructed with a lightweight chassis and is equipped with NEM coupling pockets containing tension lock couplings. It is designed to operate on a minimum radius of 371mm and measures 172mm in length.
