Rapido Trains UK is working on an 'OO' gauge model of the Railway Clearing House (RCH) 1907 private owner salt van. This wagon design was a common sight on the national network, but was phased out in the 1960s in favour of British Railways (BR) designed wagons.
The model will feature moulded and separately fitted details, metal bearings, and turned metal wheels, as well as NEM coupling pockets. The tooling suite includes various axle box variants, including square, rounded, Ellis grease, Oil 116, and RCH split oil.
The initial release will feature 15 different private owner liveries, with each model priced at £32.95. The project is currently in the tooling phase, with no release date announced. For more information, visit Rapido Trains UK.
