Rapido Trains UK has revealed a new livery for its OO gauge 48‑ft ‘Evolution’ Bogie Coaches (Batch 3). The addition is GWR Lined Crimson Lake, a design that reflects the coaching stock used by the Great Western Railway between 1912 and 1922. The models are now available for pre‑order.
The announcement comes shortly after the launch of Rapido’s GWR 45xx ‘Small Prairie’ 2-6-2T tank locomotive. The new coaches are intended to provide era‑appropriate formations for the new locomotive. Instead of waiting for a future batch, the livery has been incorporated into the existing third batch of the Evolution range.

All GWR Lined Crimson Lake versions are generic 48‑ft bogie coaches, detailed to reflect pre‑grouping practice.
Single coaches carry alternative running numbers to their multipack counterparts. The Full Brake and First are available as individual models.

Prototype information
The GWR Lined Crimson Lake livery represents coaching stock carried by the Great Western Railway during 1912‑1922. During this period the GWR repainted its rolling stock into a number of different liveries.
The models are generic 48‑ft bogie coaches, reflecting key design features associated with pre‑grouping coaching stock of the era.

Pre‑orders for Batch 3 of the OO gauge 48‑ft ‘Evolution’ Bogie Coaches are now open, with the new GWR Lined Crimson Lake livery included.
