Hornby has announced a new OO gauge addition to its steam generator fitted models with the introduction of the Bulleid air-smoothed 'Merchant Navy' 4-6-2 21C1 Channel Packet in Southern Railway malachite green. This model will be available in early 2026.
The model will feature newly modified tooling to accommodate the steam generator and include a range of advanced features such as Bluetooth and Digital Command Control (DCC) Triplex Sound system with bespoke sound profile and factory-fitted speaker. Other details include a five-pole skew wound motor, flywheel, separately fitted nameplates and sprung metal buffers.
The price for the model will be £364.99.
