New set of liveries for Rapido RCH seven-plank PO wagons

Published Friday 29 August 2025

Rapido Trains UK is set to release a new batch of OO gauge 1907 Railway Clearing House (RCH) seven-plank open wagons, featuring 18 different liveries. These models are a representation of the thousands of wooden-planked open private owner wagons built to RCH standards by railway companies and wagon builders in 1907.

The new batch will include features such as 9ft wheelbase underframes, side and end doors, brass bearings, and split-spoke metal wheels for improved running characteristics. The wagons will also have detail differences such as ribbed or smooth tapered buffers, straight or bent 'V' hangers, single or double-sided brakes, and square, rounded or Ellis axle boxes.

The colour schemes for the new batch are varied, ranging from Colman's Mustard Works in yellow and red to a weather-beaten Arley liveried example. The full list of liveries is detailed below.

Each model is priced at £32.95, with a release date yet to be confirmed. For more information, please visit the Rapido Trains UK website.
