A limited edition model of Class 91 locomotive 91150, featuring a special graphic livery, is to be produced by Hornby for Locomotion Models. The model commemorates the National Railway Museum's 50th anniversary and the long-standing partnership between LNER and the museum.
The prototype locomotive, 91105, was renumbered to 91150 and unveiled on 8 July 2025 in a special livery featuring images from the National Collection. The locomotive has been hauling services on the East Coast Main Line since September 2025.
The 'OO' gauge model will be based on Hornby's 2022 Class 91 and features:
- Five-pole motor with twin flywheels
- 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) socket
- Die-cast chassis
- Posable pantograph
- Directional and cab lighting
The model will be available in two versions:
- DCC Ready: £244.99 (Cat No: R30558)
- DCC Sound-fitted: £299.99 (R30558TXS), featuring a Triplex Sound Bluetooth decoder
