Bachmann announces Spring 2026

Published Saturday 7 February 2026

Bachmann has announced a substantial new programme of model railway releases for spring 2026. The launch covers the OO, N and OO die‑cast ranges across its Branchline, Graham Farish, EFE Rail and EFE Road brands.

Within the Branchline line, the OO scale LMS Jubilee Class receives a major update. New tooling captures subtle variations found on later locomotives, such as sloping firebox throatplates and longer fireboxes, delivering a greater level of authenticity for enthusiasts of the Stanier 4‑6‑0.

Preservation support: No. 45596 Bahamas

A key feature of the launch is a partnership with the Bahamas Locomotive Society. No. 45596 Bahamas is one of only four surviving Jubilee locomotives, and the sole member of the class fitted with a double chimney during service.

Bachmann has pledged to donate a portion of every £1 Bahamas model sold to the Society, helping fund the ongoing maintenance and future return to steam of the original locomotive, which is currently undergoing a major overhaul.

Other OO releases

The Steam fleet gains the return of the Great Central Railway 9J (later LNER J11) and the Midland Railway 3835 Class (later LMS 4F). These models will be produced in standard and sound‑fitted versions, plus a new LMS Patriot class, No. 45524 Blackpool, to join the previously announced No. 5551 The Unknown Warrior.

Two new variants of LMS diesel locomotives, Nos. 10000 and 10001, will also appear, along with a range of new wagons.

New train sets include the Eastern Express, featuring the preserved V2 Green Arrow, and the Suburban Sulzer, powered by a Class 25 diesel. Each set comes with a layout mat and a free one‑year Bachmann Collectors Club membership.

EFE OO

Following the success of the EFE Rail Isle of Wight line, a new series of 54‑ft non‑corridor coaches will soon be available as individual vehicles in several pre‑grouping liveries. Offered in Third Class, Composite and Brake Third configurations, the models feature Lined Teak, LBSCR Raw Umber, S&DJR Lined Blue and CR Plum & Off‑White schemes, providing a historical blank for early twentieth‑century enthusiasts. RRP – £58.50.

EFE Rail N

EFE Rail announces the first N scale models of the Class 23 ‘Baby Deltic’, produced in two body styles to represent the original disc headcode and later central headcode configurations. The high‑spec models include directional lighting and a Next18 DCC socket.

The Graham Farish roster broadens with the return of Class 101 DMUs, Mk1 POS Vans and HYA/IIA Hopper wagons in several popular liveries.

Scenecraft

Bachmann’s Scenecraft line is refreshed with the return of N and OO scale structures and the introduction of several new building designs. The spring collection introduces five OO scale hand‑painted figure packs, including a set for EFE Road buses and a modern policing pack featuring mounted cavalry and armed response units.

EFE Road

Bachmann has reinstated the Leyland Atlantean Open Top ‘Sea Dogs’ to its EFE Road 1:76 die‑cast range. The release includes tooling variants to depict the vehicles in their original Devon General livery and in later National Bus Company configurations.
