Bachman to produce exclusive LMS Leander for Model Railways @ The Rising Fishery

An exclusive ‘OO’ gauge model of the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) ‘Jubilee’ 4‑6‑0, 45690 Leander, in the BR lined black preservation era, is being produced solely for Model Railways @ The Rising Fishery by Bachmann.

Leander was built at Crewe in 1936, one of the 191 three‑cylinder ‘Jubilees’. It was withdrawn in 1964 and sent to Woodham Brothers scrapyard in Barry, South Wales, before being rescued for preservation. Since its return to steam, the locomotive has been a popular performer on both heritage railways and the main line, most recently running in BR lined black with early crest decals – the scheme the class wore in the early days of nationalisation.

Patience crafted this exclusive model using Bachmann’s newly announced upgraded tooling for the ‘Jubilee’. The result includes:
