Accurascale has collaborated with Cappagh Group, DC Rail Freight, and UKRL to create a brand-new livery design for the latest Class 60 to join the DC Rail fleet. The company is also producing a model of the locomotive in its Accurascale Exclusives collection for 'OO' gauge.
Class 60 60099 Ben More Asssynt was unveiled on August 28, 2025, at UK Rail Leasing's facility in Loughborough. The locomotive has been comprehensively overhauled by the UKRL team for DCRail and marks a significant milestone for the heavy freight operator. 60099 carries a unique livery created by Accurascale's design team, combining the Cappagh and DCRail colours.
The 'OO' gauge model of 60099 will be part of the Accurascale Exclusives range and is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2026.
Prices will be £169.99 DCC ready and £269.99 DCC sound fitted.
The model will feature cab window frames and modified cab interior details.
David Fletcher, Head of Rail at Cappagh Group, commented “The reinstatement of Class 60 60099 is a significant moment for DCRail as we expand our fleet to meet growing customer demand. We wanted a livery that recognised both our relationship with Accurascale and the significance of the works at UKRL Loughborough. The finished design captures all of that perfectly.”
