Accurascale has unveiled final production samples of its all-new OO gauge Class 60 locomotive, with delivery to stockists scheduled for July 2025. The Class 60 was originally built by Brush Traction in Loughborough for British Rail between 1989 and 1993, with 100 units produced for heavy haul freight trains across the UK.

Model Features and Variations

The new Accurascale model boasts an impressive range of features, including:

Comprehensive lighting package with engine room, cab, cab control desk, and directional lights
Heavy die-cast chassis
Five-pole motor with twin flywheels
Factory-fitted stay alive
Helical gears
Hall sensor to activate flange squeal on sound-fitted models
Magnetic roof hatch for easy access to the 21-pin DCC decoder

Sound-fitted models will be equipped with an Accurathrash speaker and ESU LokSound 5 with a bespoke Class 60 sound profile.

Detail Variations and Liveries

The model will be available in a range of liveries and detail variations, including:

Original and 'Super 60' locomotives
Variations to lamp brackets, scavenger fans, driver side window, fuel tanks, and light clusters

Main Range and Exclusive Models

The main range consists of seven standard OO gauge models, including:

60007 in Loadhaul orange and black
60015 in Transrail grey
60021 Penyghent in GBRf orange and blue
60034 in Railfreight Metals sector triple grey
60065 Spirit of Jaguar in EWS maroon and gold
60075 in Mainline grey
60092 in Railfreight Coal sector triple grey
