Accurascale has announced a forthcoming series of OO‑gauge Cemflo wagons slated for release in early 2027, available solely through its own website.
First produced in 1961 by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company, a second, altered series was later built by Metro‑Cammell. Cemflo wagons operated repeatedly on the Cliffe‑to‑Glasgow cement route, towed by pairs of Class 33 locomotives up to York, and remained active in main‑line duties until 1988, when larger wagons replaced them.
The new Accurascale Cemflo set will include individually fitted brake pipes, lamp irons, etched sole‑bar detail and complete pipework. Each model comes with sprung buffers and a comprehensive array of under‑frame features, turned‑metal wheels with metal bearings, NEM coupling pockets and an incorporated hidden weight to optimise running performance.
They will be sold on the Accurascale website in exclusive triple‑wagon packs, priced at £69.96 each, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
